FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE First Quarter FY04 SCORE Counseling Volume Increases January 12, 2004 Small businesses with essential employees called to active duty may apply for Military Reservist Economic Injury Disaster Loans from the SBA. The MREIDL program provides up to $1.5 million in loans to eligible small businesses to cover operating costs that cannot be met due to the loss of a key employee called to active duty in the reserves or National Guard. Treasure Coast SCORE counselors have direct experience in business start-ups, manufacturing, high technology, insurance, public relations, printing, legal, and real estate, banking, finance, tax, distribution, pharmaceuticals, retail operations, information technology, materials, engineering, construction, sales & marketing, acquisitions, turnarounds and divestitures. SCORE Chapter 308, has its main office in Fort Pierce offering counseling Monday through Friday. Our satellite offices in Hobe Sound (Fridays), Vero Beach (Mondays and Tuesdays) and Sebastian (Monday) offer scheduled counseling appointments. We also offer counseling on an appointment only basis at the Jensen Beach and Stuart/Martin County Chambers. SCORE provides no-cost, confidential business counseling with expertise in a wealth of business and business-related areas.
