FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE First Quarter FY04 SCORE Counseling Volume Increases February 9, 2004 On a national basis the counseling volume of SCORE increased 3.1% for the first quarter of the current Fiscal Year ending 12/31/03. Locally the Treasure Coast Chapter of SCORE experienced an increase of 12.6%. Although the number of face-to-face counseling sessions for SCORE nationally declined slightly the number of email counseling sessions increased 22.6%. On the Treasure Coast Chapter 308 saw increases in face-to-face counseling of 7.4%% and in email counseling sessions of 26.7%. Treasure Coast SCORE counselors have direct experience in business start-ups, manufacturing, high technology, insurance, public relations, legal, banking, finance, tax, distribution, pharmaceuticals, retail operations, information technology, materials, sales & marketing, textiles, acquisitions, turnarounds and divestitures. SCORE Chapter 308 has its main office in Fort Pierce offering counseling Monday through Friday. Our satellite offices in Hobe Sound (Fridays), Vero Beach (Mondays and Tuesdays) and Sebastian (Mondays) offer scheduled counseling appointments. We also offer counseling on an appointment only basis at the Jensen Beach and Stuart/Martin county Chambers. SCORE provides no-cost, confidential business counseling with expertise in a wealth of business and business-related areas.
