FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE SCORE Nationally Sees 7% Increase in Total Services – Treasure Coast Chapter Up 26%December 30, 2003 For the just finished Fiscal Year Ended September 30, 2003, the National SCORE Association saw total services to its clients increase over 7% year over year. Although the number of new face-to-face cases and follow-on sessions declined slightly in FY03, the new figures reflect exceptional growth for email counseling. SCORE’s 1,200 email counselors conducted over 100,000 sessions in FY03 representing annual growth of 21%. Total counseling services for the Treasure Coast Chapter of SCORE was up 25.6% over last fiscal year with significant increases in face-to-face, follow-on, email and workshop cases. Treasure Coast SCORE counselors have direct experience in business start-ups, manufacturing, high technology, insurance, public relations, printing, legal, and real estate, banking, finance, tax, distribution, pharmaceuticals, retail operations, information technology, materials, engineering, construction, sales & marketing, acquisitions, turnarounds and divestitures. SCORE Chapter 308, has its main office in Fort Pierce offering counseling Monday through Friday. Our satellite offices in Hobe Sound (Fridays), Vero Beach (Mondays and Tuesdays) and Sebastian (Monday) offer scheduled counseling appointments. We also offer counseling on an appointment only basis at the Jensen Beach and Stuart/Martin County Chambers. SCORE provides no-cost, confidential business counseling with expertise in a wealth of business and business-related areas.
